ዓም/ ʿām: (ዐረብ) Year; era; sum of many
days; their cycle and calculation; 365 days and a quarter; having four seasons

from ኪ/ ki, ሁ/ hu, ሃ/ ha up to ten as ዓዲነ/ ዓዲነ/ ʿādinä. “ዋዌ ሲኾን፤ ሄሮድስ ወጲላጦስ ተንሥኡ ቅድመ እንበለ ፍትሕ ላዕለ አቡሁ ቀባዒ ወላዕለ ወልዱ ቅቡዕ፤ ከማሆሙ ዓዲ ተንሥኡ በግፍዕ።” When it is a waw, Herod and Pilate
rose up together against his holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed; just like

But the Hebrew says

basket; it shows it is full of fruit. But the old commentators say በለው/ bälew ሰይፍ/ säyf, ጻብታ/ ṣābətā ፃግታ/ ṣāgətā, meaning “የበዳ ጸብት ንዋየ ሐቅል” a quiver of arrows,
equipment of the field. Furthermore, instead of saying ሙዳየ ዔረግ / mūdāyē ʾēräg, it says ቄረጽ፤ ይቄርጽ/ qēräṣ, yəqērṣə,
which they call scissors; its reading and meaning are not successful.

: When it is a major and minor conjunction,
it functions like the hours. On the day he was born; on the day he was
crucified; from the day you eat; from the day he covered his shame. Saying on the
day I call you, it functions with the conjunction in the past and future
tenses. When it is minor, it functions as in on the day of killing; its meaning

adversary. “ዘኢኮነ ምስሌየ ዕድውየ ውእቱ።” He who is not with me
is against me. “ለእመ ረከብኩ ዕድዋኒሃ ለሃይማኖት።” If I find the
adversaries of faith. “ዕድዋኒነ” Our adversaries (ሢራ፮: ፲፪። ማቴ፲፪: ፴። ተረ: ኤር። ቄር).
ዕገሌ/ ʾəgälē: Soandso; እገሌ/ ʾəgälē.
ዕጕል/ ʾəgʷəl: (ዕብ ዔጌል። ሱር ዔግላእ። ዐረ ዒጊል) Child; calf, lamb; young
animal; chick; puppy; foal; sprout of a plant; seedling, sapling. Its mystery
is young, youthful; moist, tender; budding, sprouting; it is said for
everything that has not grown up. “ዕጕለ አልሕምት ዕጕለ መራዕይ።” Young camels, young
sheep. “ዕጕለ አዕዋፍ።” Young birds. “ዕጕለ አናብስት” Lion cubs (ዘዳ፴፪: ፲፬። ፳፰: ፶፩። ኢዮ፭: ፯። መዝ: ፻፫).

ዕጕሥታር/ ʾəgʷəsətār: Rue; ዕጉትሣር ዐገተ/ ʾəgūtśār ʿägätä (rue, to smell).
surrounded. “እስመ አነ ዕጉት በዝንቱ ሞቅሕ።” For I am imprisoned
in this chain. “ዕጉት ውስተ አረፋቲሃ” Imprisoned in its
dungeons (ግብ፳፰: ፳።
ዕጉትሣር/ ʾəgūtśār: (ዕጉት ሣዕር፤ ሥዕረ) Fiber; rue, a type of
rue; bitter, evil leaf that is fragrant and medicinal. It means a bundle of
twigs, a circle of leaves. In proverbs, its arrangement is like a person, and
its teeth are called sickles. But the book says ዕጉሥት ይላል/ ʾəgūśət instead of ዕጉት/ ʾəgūt, just as it says ቀምሐ/ qämḥa instead of ቀሐመ/ qäḥämä. “በከመ ያማስኖ ዕጕሥታር ለጣዕመ መዓር፤ ከማሁ ያማስኖ ግዕዝ እኩይ ለምግባረ ሠናይ።” As rue spoils the
taste of honey; so does evil Geez spoil good deeds. “ደመ ዕጕሥታር ማየ ዕጕሥታር” Blood of rue, water
of rue (ፈላስ።
ዕግተት/ ʾəggätät: To surround; to be
surrounded; surrounding; siege. And when the siege was strong upon them, they
went out at night. “ለእመ እእመረ ገብር ዕግተተ በእንተ ሀዪዶተ እግዝእቱ ወኢረድኣ ያውዕይዎ” If a servant knows of
a conspiracy against his master and does not report it, they will punish him (ዮሴፍ።
ዕጐል/ ʾəgʷäl: Children; lambs; young
animals; chicks; puppies. “ወኀደገ ዕጐሊሁ ውሉደ ንኡሳነ።” And he left his
children, young sons. “ይትሐፀኑ ዕጐሊሆሙ።” They will embrace
their young. “ከመ ርግብ ምስለ ዕጐሊሃ” Like a dove with her
young (መቃ። ፰: ፰).

ዕጓለ መሕያዊ/ ʾəgʷalä mäḥəyyāwī: Human; Adamite; earthly;
terrestrial. “ፍጥረት ዕጓለ መሕያዊ፤ በከመ ምግባረ መላእክት መንፈሳውያን ይትሌዐል እምግባረ ዕጓለ መሕያውያን” Creation of the
earthly man; as the deeds of the spiritual angels surpass the deeds of the
earthly men (ፊልክ: ፩ና: ፫).
ዕጓለ መሕያው/ ʾəgʷalä mäḥəyyāw: (ምሕያው) Adam; son of Adam,
man. See መሕያውን/ mäḥəyyāw. ዕጓል/ ʾəgʷal child; መ/ mä earth; ሕያው/ ḥəyyāw creator. He whom the
living one brought forth from the earth; son of the earth, whose mother is the
earth and whose father is the living one. “አዳም ወልደ እግዚአብሔር” Adam, son of God (ሉቃ፫: ፴፰). See the meaning of
Adam; it is the same as this. Furthermore, instead of መሕያው/ mäḥəyyāw, it says እመ ሕያው/ ʾəmmä ḥəyyāw; ʾəmm Eve; ʾəgʷal
and ḥəyyāw of one kind, man; meaning son of Eve. “እስመ ይእቲ እመ ኵሉ ሕያው” For she was the
mother of all living (ዘፍ፫: ፳). If we separate እመʾəmmä for Adam and give ሕያው/ ḥəyyāw to Eve, then Adam
becomes the origin of Eve, her mother and begetter; ዕጓለ እመ ሕያው/ ʾəgʷalä ʾəmmä ḥəyyāw; son of Adam; man.
All this is fabricated and added by the commentators; its Greek is አንስሮፖስ/ anthrōpos, meaning man; its
Hebrew is also Adam, not ዕጓል/ ʾəgʷal; it does not even
have one branch, let alone branch after branch. Thirdly, it shortens it to እምሔው/ ʾəmmä ḥēw. ዕጓለ እምሔው/ ʾəgʷalä ʾəmmä ḥēw; son of the daughter
of ones father; whose father and grandfather are one; and whose mother is his
older sister. A son of the daughter of ones father is like Moab and Ammon; whose
mother bore him from her father and called him son and brother, a son who is
also a brother (ዘፍ፲፱: ፴፮ –፴፰). Just as Lot begot
two sons from both of his daughters and became father and grandfather to his
grandchildren; so the Lord, like the two women, first created the two, heaven
and earth; then, from heaven he brought forth the heavenly beings, and from
earth the earthly beings; for he is like a father and grandfather to his
creation; ʾəmmä ḥēw indicates this. For example, a hen is said to be
a grandmother to her chicks; and the Lord himself, to show his grandfatherhood
in addition to his fatherhood, likened himself to an eagle and a hen (ዘዳ፴፪: ፲፩።
