ሜሄኑህ/ Miehinuh: (ዕብ ሜሄናህ) From their places: (ሕዝ፵፪: ፭).

ሜላቅ/ Mielaq: (ቃት) Basket; A basket; a small espered; or a small container, a bundle. “ቦ ዘይፀፍር ሜላቃተ እለ እሙንቱ አስፈሬዳት ደቃቃት” There is one who makes baskets that are small espered: (ሥር: ጳኩ).

ሜላት/ Mielat: (መለለ፤ ለትሐ።  ዕብ ሚላት) Fine wool; fine silk; fine linen clothing, a girdle; made of wool, silk, linen, or cotton. Its name is derived from መለለ (melele) and ለትሐ (letha) ሜላት (melat) shows its purity and whiteness; ግምጃ (gimja) shows its color and type; see እልታሕ (iltah). (ዘፍ፵፩: ፵፪። ዘፀ፳፭: ፬። ሉቃ፲፮: ፲፬).

ሜላትራ ሮን/ Melathron: (ጽርእ) A carved panel; an ornament made around a house; a continuous base like a column and a belt; or a back addition, a molding, a border. Again, seeing its ornamentation, it says ሜላትራ/ melathra instead of ከታር/ ketar; and the Old Testament scholars call it መደብ (medeb layer), ልዝብ ጠርብ (lizib terib smooth edge) instead of ጸፍጸፍ (tseftsef carved panel) and ልባጥ (libat molding). (፫ነገ: ፯: ፱: ፵፩). “ሰሎሞን አስተቀጸላ ለመቅደስ በሜላትሮን” Solomon adorned the temple with melathron: (አርጋ). Its reading and its mystery agree with ሜላት (melat fine linen).

ሜላንትራ/ Melantra: A carved panel; melathron.

ሜሎስ/ Melos: (ጽርእ) Melody, the gift of musical praise; that goes back and forth, left and right. A fiery jewel, that shines and sparkles. “ከርሡ ወእንግድዓሁ ዘዕንቈ ኢያሰጲድ ወሰርዲኖ፤ ክሣዱ ብርሃን ዘለንጳስ ገጹ ዘሜሎስ ወአዕይንቲሁ ዘጳዝዮን” His belly and his thighs were of jasper and sardine stone; his neck was the light of a leopard, his face was melos, and his eyes were of topaz: (መጽ: ምስ).

ሜመየ/ Miemeye: (ምህወ፤ የመመ) It became water; it dissolved, it melted; it looked like water, it had water. But the poets say different things; it has no witness.

: It flowed, it became water; it became watery.

ሜም/ Miem: (ዕብ) The name of the letter መ; it means water, waters. “ደምፁ ወተሐምጉ ማያቲሆሙ ባለው፤ ዕብራይስጡ ዬሄሙ የሕምሩ ሜማው እንዲል” As it says, Their voice and their waters roared; as the Hebrew says, yehemu yahmuru memaw: (መዝ: ፵፭). “ሜም ጥቀ አፍቀርኩ ሕገከ” Mem, how I love Your law!: (መዝ: ፻፲፰: ፺፯ –፻፬። ሰቈ፩: ፲፫። ፪: ፲፫። ፫: ፴፰። ፬: ፲፫).

: The name of the Hebrew letter መ mem.

ሜስ/ Mies: (ብ አምያስ) Strong drink; Strong drink; wine, liquor; of wine, honey, and everything else; an intoxicating drink. “ስታየ ሜሰ ወይን።” When you see wine and strong drink. “ኢይሰተ ወይነ ወሜሰ ።” He shall not drink wine or strong drink. “ጻዕፈ ወይን ወሜስ ወምዝር።” The dregs of wine, strong drink, and beer. “አምያስ ዘግቡር በእሳት።” Strong drinks that are made with fire. “ወኢምንትኒ እምዘመደ አምያስ ዘአጣእጥእዎ በመዓር አው በሶከር” And nothing from the family of strong drinks that they sweeten with honey or sugar: (ቀሌ። ሉቃ፩: ፲፭። ገድ: ተክ። አብጥ: ፪። ፈ: መ: ፳፮: ፩).

ሜሩቃዕ/ Mieruqaee” (ዕብ ራቃዕ፤ ዘረጋ አሣሣ፤ ምሩቃዕ)” Overlay; A thin layer; a flat spread; made like a leaf to decorate and cover clothing and wood. But the Old Testament scholars call it purity, whiteness. “ብሩር ሜሩቃዕ” Silver overlay: (ኤር፲: ፱).

ሜሮን/ Mierot: (ጽር ሚሮን) Myrrh; Myrrh oil, or any other unholy oil that anyone can anoint with; its root and source are bitter. Incense and myrrh: (ራእ፲፰: ፲፫).

: holy oil, blessed oil; which bishops extract from balsam and incense trees, spikenard, and many other kinds of oils. But the main one is balsam; see its meaning in its place. “በለሳነ ኮነ ሀፈ ሥጋሁ በቍሎ፤ ሜሮነ ቅብዑ ዘይቄድስ ኵሎ ለትእምርት በኀቤነ እስከ ዮም ሀሎ።” Balsam became the healing of his flesh through the wound; myrrh is the oil that sanctifies everything as a sign with us until today. “ወይኅትም ኪያሃ በሜሮን፤ እስመ ማኅተመ እግዚ ውእቱ” And he seals it with myrrh; for it is the seal of God: (ደራሲ። ፍ: ነ: ፩).

ሜትራይቁይ/ Mietrayquy: Metraikui, The name of a troop. See Oromotians; it is the same as this: (መጽ: ምስ).

ሜዐ/ Meaa: (መዪዕ። ዐረ መዐ ማዐ፤ ደከመ ፈሰሰ) It melted, it became water; it became clear, it became sweet. See ምህወን (mihwon) and መስወን ጸዐጠን (meswon tseaten) these are its relatives.

ሜዓ/ Mieaa: Good fragrance; geez “መዪዕ ሜዐ።” meyu mea.

ሜኤፌሳይም/ Mieiefiesaym: (ዕብ ሜይ አፍሳይም) Waters that reach the ankles, that cover the feet, that are said to be almost nonexistent because the river is empty and lifts them up: (ሕዝ፵፯: ፫).

ሜኪር/ Mekir: (ቅብጥ ሜኺር) The name of a month; February: (አቡሻ).

ሜክሱት/ Mieksut: (ዕብ ምኩሶት) Covered, closed, blocked; windows: (ሕዝ፵፩: ፲፯).

ሜኮኖት/ Miekonot: (ጽር። ዕብ ምኮኖት) Supports; bearers, foundations; or sockets, pedestals. “አንዲቱን ምኮና ይላል፤ ኹሉም የሴት አንቀጽ ነው።” It calls one mekona; all are feminine nouns. “ለለ አሐቲ ሜኮኖት አሐዱ ኬጥሮጋውሉስ፤ ወከማሁ ለዐሠርቱ ሜኮኖት” For each mekonot, one ketrogalus; and likewise for the ten mekonot: (፫ነገ: ፯: ፴፰).

ሜጥራ/ Miet.ra: (ጽር ሚትራ። ዕብ ኔዜር) A holy crown, a diadem; its design and decoration are different from the crown of kings; worn formerly by the high priests of the Old Testament and today by the patriarchs of the New Testament. See ኢያዜር/ Iyazer; it is the same as this: (ዘፀ፴፮: ፴፬: ፴፰). But in Hebrew it is Exodus 39: 30 and 31; see the Amharic.

ሜፌቲ/ Miefeti: (ዕብ ሚፌ(ፔ) ቲ) Me from feti means foolish, simple; lacking in mind, erring; loving. “እምብእሴ ሾጌ ወሜፌቲ” From the man of Shoge and Mefeti: (ሕዝ፵፭: ፳).
