three devils came to Mark and Cyprian in the form of three priests (Arius,
Nestorius, Macedonius) and fought with him. And angels also went
in the form of worldly people to the chief of the fathers concerning the feast
of the Unleavened Bread and the Passover; and they bowed down to the cross and
kissed it and prayed. Was that a true
bowing down, or not. The translator said; and
the angels bowed down and kissed and prayed with their heads; just as the souls
of the perfect pray and bow down with their bodies. And the devils did

thousand million; ትእልፊታት (tiilfitat) means

Ewur, the leaders of Enoch and numbers, say that the sun has 515 rays and the
moon has 105 rays. And the reason for their interpretation; the reading is its
mystery; its root is its meaning, this is it: (ዘፍ፩: ፲፮). Moses; And God made
two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to
rule the night, and the stars. Saint Paul told us; There is one glory of the
sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: And the scholars in
their liturgy taught us; And when he created the sun and the moon, it was not
that they might shine for him as if he were in darkness; but he gave them a
little of his own light, the size of a grain of wheat; and for this reason they
shone upon men: (ቅዳ: ግሩ). And this light,
which is called the size of a grain of wheat, they divide into a thousand
parts. And from this thousand, 595 parts reach the sun according to its rays; 405
remain. From this remaining, 105 go to the moon; 100 to the stars; 100 to the
clouds; and 100 to the rainbows. And this that reaches the sun, if 595 is
multiplied by 98, it becomes 6 parts and 7 remain; and these 6 parts are given
to it every hour from morning until noon. This means speaking of the opening
and closing of its rays; but the 7 rays never close. After 6 oclock, 98 close; and
until 6 oclock, all are completely closed. It has six additions and six
subtractions in one day. And the 105 that we said reach the moon become 15
weeks; and this is given to it every day from the day of the new moon until the
day of the full moon. After 15 days, 7 hands are taken from it every day, until
15 days. This means speaking of the opening and closing of its rays; it does
not mean that there is another light given to it from outside. They interpret
that just as the sun has rays, so also does the moon.
